Back in university, my sociology professor once asked me to talk about myself. I told him and the class the basic things one would normally say—my name, my hobbies, where I live, what I study, etc.—and I remember my professor vividly telling me that that is not who I am but rather the current state of my life and an influence of many social interactions. Who we are is not because of our own doing, but shaped by the social structures that surround us.
I wasn’t entirely sure if that made it easier to talk about myself, but here’s who I have become since then and how the world around me influenced my life and who I am as a person both in and out of work:
Trained as a mechanical engineer, I’ve been working on project management since 2015. That’s 8 years of work experience—4 years in waterfall projects delivering engineering solutions in the industrial machinery and vertical mobility sectors, and another 4 years in driving digital solutions involving agile change management and rigorous requirement specification in the construction and e-mobility software space.

My passion for mobility and transport led me to move to the lively bustling city in 2021 to pursue my MBA degree in Sustainable Mobility Management at the Technical University of Berlin. Graduated in 2023 with a 1.5 GPA. But learning never ends!
Having had the opportunity to live and work in cities like Tokyo and Singapore—where the cityscape is sprawling with metro trains, bike paths, and walkways—I’ve always been captivated by how mobility enables individuals (not to mention cities and communities) to satisfy needs and wants by allowing them to go wherever they need to be.

I also value working with people who do the same. In my experience, both as a manager with direct reports and as an employee, I’ve learned that empowering peers and individuals is a fundamental aspect of effective leadership.
